Battle of Stanardsville

The 2008 event has been scheduled for the weekend of September 20th & 21st, 2008

The sound of distant cannon fire signals the approach of the 144th Anniversary of the Battle of Stanardsville. Custer and his troops are on their way back from a raid on Charlottesville at Rio Hill but some of JEB Stuart’s boys are planning a surprise for them in Greene County. The camps will be alive with various activities preparing for the upcoming battle, so please join us September 20-21, 2008 for an exciting journey into the past.

We are looking for volunteers to serve on various committees. Some of those committees are Advertising, Ladies Tea, Organizing Period Childrens Games, Parking & Traffic, Civilian Ticket Sales and Cleanup. Please contact the Webmaster for more information.

We are looking for pictures taken at any Battle of Stanardsville event to include in our gallery. You can e-mail them to the Webmaster or mail them on a CD to the address below.
